Last month I photographed Mike and Ali’s gorgeous wedding day at The Hard Days Night Hotel. We started with the bridal preparations in the most gorgeous hotel room I’ve ever been in; the John Lennon Suite. The room had a gleaming, white grand piano in it which everyone had a little mess on at some point! The bride and her 3 bridesmaids and sister had a nice, relaxed time getting ready and I caught some lovely, natural moments during this time. My personal favourite is Ali’s daughter Emily’s reaction when she saw her mum in her wedding dress, there were tears! Ali looked absolutely stunning so I understand why!

The Ceremony was lovely, with all of Mike and Ali’s closest friends and family joining them and afterwards all of the guests headed to Hari’s bar whilst myself and the bridal party headed back up to the John Lennon Suite to take the bridal party and couple photos. The weather was not the best on the day but we still had to go onto Matthew Street for a few photographs by The Cavern Pub as Ali really wanted to and I loved how these photos turned out too, they’re some of my favourites!

The reception was great, lots of laughs and smiles which made my job of taking natural photos nice and easy! The speeches were hilarious, everyone was in stitches at some point! Especially at Mike’s best man Tommy’s speech, which was about 50 pages long!! Mike and Ali asked if they could have a photo with me (a first for me!), and when I wasn’t expecting it they both gave me a kiss on the cheek! They were so laid back and friendly and I got on with them so well and loved being a part of their special day!
