Gill and Graeme had the most amazing wedding at the Doubletree Hilton Liverpool last October. It was on Friday the 13th, but it was certainly not an unlucky day for these two and their family and friends! The Doubletree Hilton Liverpool is a historic hotel in the heart of the city, it is such an elegant and romantic building, so it is easy to see why couples choose it for their wedding venue!

Getting Ready

The wedding day preparations began in the Presidential suite of the hotel which just screamed luxury with its high ceilings, huge fire place and gorgeous chandelier and decor. It was a lovely, chilled afternoon getting ready with Gill and her Bridesmaid. Her wedding dress looked gorgeous hanging above the fireplace.

The Ceremony

The ceremony room at the Doubletree Hilton Liverpool is gorgeous with lots of natural light, which is a photographers dream! It is a spacious room so there was plenty of room for all of Gill and Graeme’s loved ones. The ceremony was lovely with readings from from friends and family and candle lighting and family hugs. Gill and Graeme were giggling all the way through it, and the whole room couldn’t contain their laughter when their youngest son shouted out when the registrar asked if there were any objections! I love Graeme’s face when they are walking back down the aisle, he looks so proud!

Evening Celebrations

Gill and Graeme had a 4pm ceremony which meant that the evening celebrations followed straight after! We did sneak away for a bit though to take a little wander up the Doubletree Hilton’s world heritage staircase, which is the perfect photo opportunity. The beautiful architecture of this building dates all the way back  to the nineteenth century! The speeches made the whole room fill with laughter and then tears, too! Gill and Graeme’s reception was full of fun and all of their guests were so friendly and welcoming which made it a pleasure to be there! I had an amazing time photographing this wonderful wedding for the most lovely couple who I hope to keep in touch with as we got on so well!
